How to measure your bracelet size?
There are several ways to measure your wrist size. Choose the method that is most practical for you.
You can use a flexible tape measure and wrap it around your wrist, just above the wrist bone. Make sure the tape measure fits snugly but doesn't pinch. Note down the measured centimeters.
Don't have a tape measure? Then use a piece of string or a strip of paper. Wrap it around your wrist, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length with a ruler.
Do you already wear a bracelet that fits well? Then measure it from end to end, including the clasp. This often gives a very accurate indication.
How to determine the right fit?
The final bracelet size consists of your wrist size plus extra space for comfort and style. Depending on the desired fit, you can choose:
A snug fit, where the bracelet sits close to the skin and looks elegant.
A regular fit for everyday comfort and effortless wear.
A looser fit for a playful effect or statement jewelry.
Guideline:
-
Snug fit: add approximately 1.5 cm
-
Regular fit: add approximately 2 cm
-
Loose fit: add approximately 3 cm
Example: for a wrist size of 16 cm, you would need 18 cm for a comfortable fit.
Average bracelet sizes
Most women have a wrist size between 15 and 17 cm. A bracelet of approximately 18 cm generally fits comfortably.
For men, the average wrist size is between 17 and 19 cm, which often results in a bracelet of about 20.5 cm.
For children, we advise adding 1 to 2 cm, depending on age and growth.
Different bracelet types, different size recommendations
Tennis bracelets and other flexible bracelets look best with a slight give for freedom of movement.
Beaded bracelets can be a bit looser for wearing comfort.
Stiff bangles must not only fit around the wrist but also slide comfortably over the hand.
Necklace lengths at Cha Diamonds
Our necklaces are available in various lengths. Which length suits you best depends on personal preference and neckline.
Shorter lengths fall high on the collarbone and give a modern, refined look.
Longer lengths provide a classic drape and combine beautifully with open necklines.
Want to determine your ideal length? Use a piece of string or ribbon and place it around your neck to where you want the necklace to fall. Mark the spot, measure the length, and you'll know exactly which size suits you.
Smart measuring tips from Cha Diamonds
Preferably measure later in the day, when wrists and fingers are slightly fuller.
Avoid measuring in extreme cold, heat, or immediately after exercise.
Keep in mind that your dominant hand is often slightly larger.
If in doubt between two sizes, always choose the larger size for comfort.
